Fitness is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle at every age. Regular physical activity can help people maintain strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance while supporting overall well-being. For senior citizens, staying active is particularly important for maintaining independence and confidence in everyday activities.
Continuing its mission to spread fitness awareness across India, Soumen’s Workout is bringing the Jago India Jago Fitness Campaign to Hyderabad from November 20 to 23, 2026. This will mark the campaign’s 31st city, following its recent Bangalore chapter in September 2026.
The Hyderabad campaign will focus on body toning, strength training, balance training, and facial toning, with activities planned across four popular public spaces: Indira Park, Public Garden, Lumbini Park, and NTR Garden.
Promoting Senior Fitness and Healthy Ageing
As people grow older, maintaining an active lifestyle becomes increasingly important. Appropriate physical activity can help support muscle strength, mobility, coordination, and flexibility.
The Jago India Jago Fitness Campaign aims to encourage senior citizens to make exercise a regular part of their daily routines. The focus is on accessible activities that can be adapted to different fitness levels rather than demanding workouts or unrealistic goals.
Through this initiative, Soumen’s Workout promotes the message that fitness is not limited to younger people. With suitable exercises and consistency, older adults can continue working towards a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Four Key Fitness Activities in Hyderabad
The Hyderabad chapter will highlight four important areas of fitness.
Body Toning: Suitable toning exercises can help maintain muscle engagement and physical conditioning. Simple bodyweight movements and controlled exercises can be adapted to individual abilities.
Strength Training: Maintaining muscle strength can support everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, and standing up from a chair. The campaign will highlight practical strengthening exercises suitable for different fitness levels.
Balance Training: Balance and coordination are important for stability during everyday movements. Appropriate balance exercises can help older adults work towards maintaining confidence and control while moving.
Facial Toning: Facial toning workouts involve controlled movements of facial muscles and will be included as an additional activity in the campaign’s fitness programme.
All exercises should be appropriate to individual physical abilities. Senior citizens with existing health concerns or significant balance difficulties should seek professional guidance before starting new workouts.
The No Machine Zone Philosophy of Soumen’s Workout
One of the distinctive features of Soumen’s Workout is its No Machine Zone approach, which emphasises that fitness does not always require expensive gym equipment or complicated machines.
Bodyweight exercises, stretching, mobility movements, and functional training can offer practical ways to become more physically active. This approach encourages people to explore suitable exercises according to their age, comfort, and fitness requirements.
With 26 years of fitness experience, Soumen’s Workout continues to promote the importance of making fitness accessible to people from different age groups.
The message is simple: Your body is your best gym. Regular movement, appropriate guidance, and consistency can help people develop healthier exercise habits.
From Bangalore to Hyderabad: Continuing the Nationwide Movement
The Jago India Jago Fitness Campaign has taken its fitness awareness message to cities including Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jamshedpur, Guwahati, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Agartala, Pune, Patna, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Surat, Vadodara, Thiruvananthapuram, Visakhapatnam, Kanpur, Ranchi, Indore, and Bhopal, along with repeat visits to cities such as Delhi and Bengaluru.
The recent Bangalore chapter took place from September 18 to 21, 2026, at Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Cubbon Park, with a special emphasis on senior fitness and healthy ageing.
Now, the campaign is preparing for its next chapter in Hyderabad. As the 31st city, Hyderabad will continue the initiative’s mission of encouraging communities to understand the value of regular physical activity and healthier lifestyle choices.
The four selected locations—Indira Park, Public Garden, Lumbini Park, and NTR Garden—will provide public spaces for the campaign’s fitness activities and awareness efforts.
Fitness Is a Necessity, Not a Luxury
Fitness is about more than weight loss or physical appearance. It is also about maintaining strength, flexibility, mobility, and the ability to carry out everyday activities.
The Jago India Jago Fitness Campaign encourages people to recognise exercise as an important part of everyday life, particularly as they grow older. By highlighting practical workout methods and senior fitness awareness, Soumen’s Workout aims to inspire people to remain active according to their individual abilities.
The upcoming Hyderabad chapter represents another milestone in this nationwide fitness movement, bringing its message to more people and communities.
Fitness does not stop with age. Every step towards a more active lifestyle matters.
